SARA MARGARYAN
Born in the capital of a small mountainous country, Armenia, somewhere
in the end of 70s, and grown as the only child in the family. Yet
not spoilt. With age I felt that the words sound more hilarious
if pronounced with rhyme and rhythm, thus started my attempts to
compose. However, poetry was first revealed just to mother and father,
and only after some time and persuasion - to a small public of friends
and relatives. Was published several times, mainly in Russian and
English.
After graduating from the Yerevan State Institute of Foreign Languages,
familiar to many under the “notorious” name of a famous
Russian poet Valeri Brusov, I felt an irresistible desire to see
and learn more. Thus I found myself in Sweden, a beautiful country
of winds and Karlsson who lives on the roof. I came here with my
husband who was enrolled as a Master student. A year of learning
Swedish language, then - six months in the hills of Austria where
I found my real vocation - to dedicate my life to Peace Building
and Conflict Transformation, in a nice European Peace University.
Now my life continues, as everything on the earth, and I find
and learn more from new friends I meet, new countries I visit, and
new impressions that are left from it all. What will the next step
be - I don’t know. I am still in Sweden, I still have programs
to cover, countries to visit, and that makes me happy. I hope that
the poetry presented here will make others happy too.
