Ashot Beglaryan

Born in Stepanakert (capital of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), 1968. Graduated from Yerevan State University majoring in Russian language and literature. Starting from 1992 he has been working as a freelance reporter with various Armenian and foreign newspapers, magazines and news agencies, also with London Institute for War and Peace Reporting.

Ashot's works were first published when he was 19 years old. Since then his literary works were published in various literary magazines in Stepanakert, Yerevan, Moscow, etc.

One of the main subjects that he explores in his stories is war, which is understandable — war in Karabakh affected all those living there. Ashot himself was heavily injured.
