Sargis Ghantarjyan
He was born in Yerevan, 1939. In 1956 he joined the Yerevan Polytechnical
Institute, in 1966 he got his “candidate degree” (a
scientific degree in the USSR equal to Ph.D. in Western countries)
in Economics, in 1966 he got his “doctoral degree” (it
was the next step after Ph.D. in the Soviet scientific hierarchy).
1992 – 2003 he worked as the head of the State Patent Office
of Armenia. Now Mr. Ghantarjyan is the head of the “Business
and Management” department of the Yerevan State University.
He is the author of more than a hundred of scientific works, including
5 monographs.
